Causing an outage. It affected nearly 27,000 customers mostly in aurora and east denver, still no word yet how the raccoon got into this substation. It may seem unusual for an animal to cause a power outage, it happens more often than youd think. Animal caused outages are one of our top four causes of outages in the state of colorado, so its not uncommon for it to happen. What is, however, unusual is the outage was so wi power to just a couple of customers. If you tried but failed to date on access, youre not alone.
