3 National Guard pilots killed in Idaho helicopter crash © Provided by New York Daily News Three National Guard members were killed in southern Idaho when their helicopter crashed during a routine training flight Tuesday, authorities said. All three victims aboard the UH-60 Black Hawk were pilots of the Idaho Army National Guard, Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak said in a statement. “This is a tremendous loss to the Idaho National Guard and our community,” said Garshak, who’s the adjutant general of Idaho and commander of the Idaho National Guard. Officials believe the helicopter went down around 8 p.m. just south of Lucky Peak, about 10 miles east of Boise, the state’s capital. The last contact with the aircraft happened at 7:45 p.m.
