Lounge Lux Nights

Lounge Lux Nights Wednesdays: Dust off your vintage looks and get together with friends for some frou-frou drinks, make it a date night, or bring your laptop and work on that pulp detective novel you hadn’t been meaning to write until we just mentioned it. This is a low-key night for when you want to dress up and go out but don’t want to feel pressured to dance. Relax, sip a martini or mai tai while the sun sets, have some gooey mac n cheese, and celebrate the week being halfway over while listening to some sexy neo-lounge, classic lounge, and exotica music.

Tallies (Bella Union) w/ Shady Cove (PDX) & Natural Blasters

Tallies (Bella Union) w/ Shady Cove (PDX) & Natural Blasters With their sophomore album "Patina" (Bella Union), Toronto indie pop band TALLIES have found a way to nod to their favorite bands of the 90s while transforming their sound into something undeniably fresh. Sarah Cogan’s sweet, flowy vocals coast effortlessly atop crystalline guitars, every note conjuring up the jangled melodies of classic groups like THE SMITHS, THE SUNDAYS, and COCTEAU TWINS, but with a modern, urgent twist. With local support from WHITE MANNA fountainhead David J's new project NATURAL BLASTERS, and touring support from Portland's SHADY COVE. EARLY SHOW! Bar Opens at 6 pm, music at 8 pm. 21+. $12/$15.

Akira (Remix)

Akira (Remix) Local DJ Pandemonium Jones has crafted a mix that plays in sync with Katsuhiro Otomo's 1988 anime classic Akira. The music selections - which lean heavily on hip-hop and electronica - track the film's action rhythmically and thematically, creating unexpected and satisfying synchronicities. It's sort of like "Dark Side of Oz" for the rave generation. 21+
