Four people were injured Tuesday night following a crash involving an Anderson police car, according to Chief Jim Stewart with Anderson Police Department.
The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday evening that a suspect is in custody in connection to a double homicide shooting Monday on U.S. 29.

Officials say deputies responded after receiving reports of two gunshot victims laying in the roadway along the U.S. 29 bypass Northbound corridor from Barnes Street to N.C. 14 in Reidsville around 4:45 p.m. A third victim was located shortly after deputies and first responders arrived.The area is closed off while deputies investigate. Traffic is being rerouted and it is unclear when the road will be open.Authorities say the shots were fired from a red Dodge Dually pickup while the two victims were riding on a motorcycle together and the other victim was on a separate motorcycle.One victim died on the scene and the other victim died at the hospital. Officials say the third victim was able to walk away. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities warn residents to be vigilant on the roads.T
