Confusion as Rangers star makes national claim amid club v country battle

In discussing the speculation regarding his future, there’s some confusion as to whether or not Rangers star Ianis Hagi has settled conjecture regarding a trip to the Olympics this summer.
The Ibrox midfielder is one of Romania’s brightest talents and most marketable players and ahead of the tournament in Tokyo was filmed talking up the competition.
However, the tournament – which Rangers are not required to send Hagi to given it is U23s – clashes with the Gers’ Champions League qualification campaign.
Established Romanian journalist Emmanuel Rosu would claim that the Romanian FA were set to contact Rangers to get a final decision over Hagi.
