KELLER, Texas Ian Taylor Schlitz knew something was different early in his elementary school career.
His young classmates would be puzzled about a concept the teacher was trying to explain, but he wasn’t.
“I realized I was the first one to get it,” he said, “And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m catching on to this faster somehow.’”

At 15 years old,
Ian Taylor Schlitz has earned a college degree from the University of North Texas. Adding to the accomplishment, he graduated Magna cum laude and plans on pursuing a Master s degree from his alma mater.
“It felt cool to be among all of these educated people and at graduation, as I was sitting on the field with everyone else, it was nice to look around and see that I made it,” Schlitz told

Ian Taylor Schlitz isn’t your typical 15-year-old.
The Keller, Texas native lives at home with his parents, like a normal teen, but what makes him different from the vast majority of his peers is that he has just graduated from the University of North Texas. Schlitz is now headed into his graduate studies to obtain a Master of Business Administration.
