South Australian police said they were treating the deaths of a man and a nine-month-old girl at the Whispering Wall in the Barossa yesterday as a âtragic murder-suicideâ.
Police said witnesses reported seeing a man with an infant in a child-carrier jump off the wall at the tourist attraction about 4.30pm on Wednesday.
First responders found a dead man and a child who was unresponsive but being helped by members of the public. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the girl died.
Although a formal identification is not yet completed it is believed the man is Henry Shepherdson, 38, and his baby Kobi Shepherdson.

A South Australian father with a history of domestic violence is suspected of intentionally taking his baby daughterâs life when he jumped off a dam wall in the Barossa Valley.
Police were called to a popular sightseeing spot late Wednesday afternoon after witnesses saw the man, believed to be Henry Shepherdson, 38, jump off the 36-metre wall with his daughter in a carrier.
Nine-month old Kobi Shepherdson died in what is suspected to be a murder-suicide in South Australia on Wednesday.
