A 44-year-old man has been sentenced to seven months in prison for placing hidden cameras in an Okanagan winery bathroom and secretly filming people.
As reported by Global News, Ian Leighton placed two hidden cameras in the staff washroom at organic and biodynamic wine specialist Summerhill Pyramid Winery in Canada’s Okanagan Valley.
The cameras were left in the bathroom for two months, with Leighton secretly recording at least 13 people, two of whom were under the age of 18.
When a winery employee spotted one of the hidden cameras in a baseboard heater, it was confiscated by a manager. Leighton then stole the SD card while the camera was left unattended at the bar.
