UK Government fisheries minister Victoria Prentis was too busy organising a Nativity trail to read about fishing in the Brexit Bill I DON’T know if I am alone in feeling deeply anxious in the current maelstrom of Unionist attacks on the Scottish economy and political sovereignty. Meanwhile Alister Jack, Baroness Davidson and Douglas Ross are under the radar with their plans to use the new Edinburgh civil service facility to bypass Holyrood politically to do direct funding to Scotland in areas like housing and health.
THE SNP has called on the Tory Fisheries Minister to resign after admitting that she had not fully read the details of the Brexit deal on fisheries because she was “very busy organising the local Nativity trail”. Giving evidence at a House of Lords committee earlier today, Victoria Prentis admitted “things are tricky at the moment” but said her team is “working hard” to resolve issues. She also said the UK didn’t get everything we asked for in the Brexit deal.
