Spokane Zine Fest The phrase “small but mighty” is a perfect descriptor for zines. For the uninitiated, zines are small, photocopied paper books filled with words or images that often serve communities on the fringe of mainstream culture and foster community for nontraditional artists. Local writers Chelsea Martin and Ian Amberson organize the festival every year.
