Evening Brief: Well and truly over the peak of the 3rd wave

iPolitics By iPolitics. Published on May 28, 2021 5:53pm Dr. Theresa Tam / Photo: Public Health Agency of Canada Today’s Evening Brief is brought to you by News Media Canada. It’s time to level the digital playing field. Google and Facebook are using their monopoly to threaten and undermine local news. Other countries are taking action. It’s time for Canada to stand up to the web giants – and step up for local news. Learn more. Good evening to you. That was the word from Dr. Theresa Tam, the country’s chief public health officer during today’s COVID-19 update. Thanks to strict public health measures and vaccine rollout that’s ramped up, “things have taken a great turn for the better,” she said.
