(West Des Moines, IA) West Des Moines Police have identified a vehicle and driver of interest in a woman s death along Interstate 35 north of Mills Civic Parkway. Police believe 38-year-old Stephanie Waddell of Oskaloosa was hit by a vehicle late May 8th into May 9th while she had been walking. Someone driving by spotted her body off the shoulder of the road.
West Des Moines says they re still investigating and processing evidence. Sergeant Jason Heintz tells WHO Radio News they found a few pieces of a vehicle at the scene which they are trying to match to the vehicle of interest.
