Molly Hocking, 2019 winner of ITV’s The Voice, says she is “excited” that she will be making her long-awaited home-town return to the stage at this year’s St Ives September Festival. Molly and the Bubble Band – her new line-up of musicians – will headline at St Ives Guildhall on Sunday, September 12 – the second night of the 2021 September Festival. “I can’t wait to perform live again,” said 20-year-old Molly. “My first big gig is going to be in St Ives, my home town and I can’t wait for everyone to come and support and have a night of fun.”
Harry Connick, Jr., returned to American Idol on Monday during its Comeback episode in which contestants from last season competed for a spot in the Top 10.
The 53-year-old singer once spent three years assessing the show s talent and displayed his own with a glimpse of his latest album, Alone With My Faith.
It was a record Harry hoped would help listeners heal during the coronavirus pandemic, and he d made in his home studio during lockdown.

Natalie Hemby, one of the most well-liked and acclaimed songwriters in Nashville, has put her toe into the waters of being a recording and performing artist before, notably as a member of the alt-country supergroup the Highwomen. But now she’s jumping in whole-heartedly, having inked a deal with the Fantasy label that will see a solo album coming out later this year.
“It’s kind of ironic,” Hemby tells
Variety. “I’m a 43-year-old woman who is signing her first record deal. So that’s a pretty big deal. I don’t know if I’m crazy or if I’m just lucky I think maybe a little bit of both.”
