SECOND Suspect Sought in Murder of Nurse on Interstate Jan 06, 2021 at 05:51 pm by WGNS
A second person is being sought by Nashville Metro Police in the shooting death of Caitlyn Kaufman on Interstate 440. Kaufman was the woman who was on her way to work when she was shot and killed.
28-year-old James Edward Cowan is now wanted in Kaufman s murder that took place on her drive to Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Kaufman worked at the medical facility as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit.
The arrest warrant issued for Cowan charges him with criminal homicide. However, he has yet to be caught and there is a reward for his arrest.

(WTVF) â A scholarship honoring a Nashville nurse who was killed while driving to work has raised $10,000.
Earlier this month, Caitlyn Kaufman was shot and killed along Interstate 440 while on her way to St. Thomas West Hospital where she worked in an ICU. The man accused of killing her has since been arrested.
Kaufman graduated from Butler County Community College in Pennsylvania. According to the Butler Eagle, another $5,000 is needed to ensure a nursing student can receive the scholarship every year.

RALEIGH (WTVD) A crash involving a pedestrian has shut down part of Capital Boulevard just inside the I-440 beltline in Raleigh on Thursday morning.
Both northbound and southbound lanes are closed near Crabtree Boulevard as of 8 a.m. The extent of the pedestrian s injuries are not known at this time.
