Fire and rescue services responded to two separate incidents of likely heat exhaustion in the Billy Goat Trail area on Tuesday, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.
Around 3:40 p.m., Piringer reported a medical emergency on Billy Goat Trail A. One adult likely suffered heat exhaustion and was transported to a hospital by helicopter, he said.
Earlier around 1 p.m., one adult had a medical emergency around Cedar Island along the Potomac River, also in the Billy Goat Trail area, Piringer reported. The patient suffered from heat exhaustion/dehydration, he said.
