we had harvey weinsteven here a couple of days ago and he talked with overreaching. he went through a little dip and had to pull back. what did you learn from the hit you took to your business? i think starbucks was not immune from the recession. i think almost every company domestically and around the world really was trying to navigate through a cataclysmic financial crisis and we were not alone. we had to retrench, we had to close stores for the first time in our history. to be honest, i think the hypergrowth that we had during the really strong years of expansion was probably a little bit too aggressive and we had to stop that. but i think the primary issue for us was refocusing on our customers, bringing significant innovation to the marketplace like we did with starbucks via, like we re doing with starbucks tribute blend. i think great companies go through cyclical changes and
