Taekwondo Instructor Charged With Abusing Teen
Hyobin Lee, a 30-year-old instructor at Master Moon s Tae Kwon Do in Minnesota, has been charged with repeatedly molesting an underage, female student. Lee, who immigrated to the United States from South Korea in 2015 and began teaching shortly thereafter, faces two counts of criminal sexual misconduct for having sex with the girl starting when she was 15. The girl, now 17, reported the abuse to school officials in the Scott County School District who notified police last month. Referring to her former instructor as Master Lee she reportedly told them she d been taught to comply with all requests from someone of Lee s rank and never to say no to him. Lee remains in jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
