Cllr Paul Cox and Cath Holmes at Milnshaw Park A TOWN centre park is to get a new BMW £75,000 pump track thanks to a British Cycling grant. It is to be created in Accrington and now companies have been asked to bid to provide it. The track in Milnshaw Park, Accrington, will be created after British Cycling gave Hyndburn Council a £37,000 grant as part of their ‘Places To Ride’ programme. It is hoped that the new track - suitable for bikes, scooters and skateboard - will be ready in time for the school summer holidays The Hyndburn Green Spaces Forum has been granted £30,000 grant from the Lancashire Environmental Fund. A further contribution towards the project has been made by Lancashire County Council.
