Hydrogen Egypt Aims to Expand in Saudi Arabia at the Beginning of 2024

Hydrogen Egypt is studying a potential expansion in the Saudi market, which constitutes an essential source for providing clean energy supplies to Asian countries. In exclusive remarks to Asharq Al-Awsat, Eng. Khaled Naguib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hydrogen Egypt, said that his company was studying expansion in the Saudi market, which he sees as “exceptionally promising for hydrogen, particularly in the context of supplying clean energy to the growing Asian market.”

H²Egypt Agrees with Chinese PERIC to Assemble Electrolyzers in Cairo

Dalia Samir, Co-Founder and Director of Hydrogen Egypt (H²Egypt), unveiled a partnership deal with Chinese PERIC to assemble and produce parts of the electrolyzer units in Egypt during the first quarter of 2024. Globally, PERIC is the biggest company in terms of the production of electrolyzer units to produce hydrogen. Samir informed Asharq Al-Awsat that, in the first phase, the partnership entails technical cooperation to assemble electrolyzer units and to significantly manufacture a portion of them within Egypt.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia Aim to Capture 1/3 of the Green Hydrogen Market in Europe, Asia

Hydrogen Egypt’s Executive Director Khaled Nageib has called upon Egypt and Saudi Arabia to establish the foundations of the hydrogen market in the region. This is aimed at securing a significant market share in this promising sector, given Europe’s interest in importing energy from Cairo and Asia’s reliance on Riyadh’s energy resources.
