While assuring to look into the grievances of the project affected people of the two Hydro-Electric Projects, he said that there is shortage of power in the State despite having so much of potential.

Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein said that there is need to welcome the potential private power developers to harness the vast hydropower potential of the State as it will help to enhance economy of the State and generate employment opportunity for the local youths. These Hydro-power projects, once developed will make our State self-sufficiency in power as the Power Developers will share free power of 5-10% with the State Government and 1% for local area development. More power will further create avenues for establishment of industry and food processing units for the local entrepreneurs.
