Flushing will be done daily between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Scheduled are:
¯ April 14-15: Johnson Road to Lovers Lane, Homewood Avenue to Cunnningham.
¯ April 16: Lovers Lane to Efts Lane, to include all areas along Lovers Lane.
Water Superintendent Jim Jenkins reminds residents that water discoloration may occur during flushing, but it only affects the appearance of the water and poses no health or safety risk.
He also said flushing in one area can affect other areas, so residents are reminded to run cold water before doing laundry to check for discoloration. If the discoloration happens during the wash process, Jenkins said do not put them in the dryer instead, contact the water filtration plant at (740) 283-6041 while the laundry is still wet to obtain special detergents that may remove the discoloration.
