A federal appeals court has upheld the convictions of Philip Esformes, a South Florida health-care executive, on charges of fraud, illegal kickbacks and money laundering.

Since May 2019, he most recently served as the area director of sales, marketing, and events at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. In his role here, Salifu was instrumental in guiding and leading the sales and events teams through the pandemic and recovery efforts. He also assisted with facilitating partnerships with local African American small businesses, giving each a solid platform, while also helping the Hyatt Regency maintain its 25-year relationship with the Baltimore Ravens.
