HIGHWAY 90 is closed⚠️
Please avoid unnecessary travel this morning as overpass bridges are icing up again. Multiple crashes on HWY 90 near Baldwin/Franklin. ⚠️
In addition to the warning from the Baldwin-Franklin area, it is reported that all overpass bridges on Hwy 90 from St. Mary Parish to New Orleans have been closed.
Although some roadways may seem normal and safe to travel, others still have pockets of dangerous ice in shaded areas, usually under trees and on bridges and overpasses. In addition to that, roads that may have looked safe at one point since they last froze over may have iced up again with this new round of wintry precipitation.
