Reno County announced the elevation of Helen Foster to the position of Human Resources Director. Foster takes over the job from Renee Harris, who retired in March. Foster’s responsibilities will include supervising the human resources staff, overseeing employee benefits, recruitment, performance appraisals, and training. She’ll also be responsible for enforcing resolutions, policies, and regulations adopted by the Board of County Commissioners. Foster began her career in government in the Guymon, Oklahoma, Clerk’s Office. After relocating to Kansas with her family, she held positions in the Reno County Commission Office, County Appraiser’s Office, and has been a Human Resources Specialist at the county since 2009.
