QIIC to conclude 40th anniversary celebration on March 26

Doha: Qatar Indian Islahi Centre has announced the yearlong celebrations of its 40th anniversary would conclude on March 26, 2021.
Over four decades, QIIC has accomplished social engagements, community services, especially in socio-cultural and humanitarian arenas. The organization was founded as the first expatriate unit of Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM), Kerala’s Muslim renaissance movement. It was materialized during the Qatar visit of late KNM leader Sir A. P. Abdul Qader Moulavi, a renowned Islamic scholar.
Original members Akbar Qasim, Fyzal Karattiyattil, and TP Kunjammed, are still inspiring QIIC members and volunteers over the last 40 years. Their efforts have flourished the greatness of this organisation.

The illegal tobacco was found at the Easy Shop in Darlington s Victoria Road in September 2019. Hemin Hussain Mohammed, 34, of Wilson Street, Darlington, who owns the shop, pleaded guilty to supplying conterfeit cigarettes and hand-rolling tobacco when he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court on January 14 The case was the fifth prosecution following Operation Sirenian, a multi-agency operation led by Darlington Borough Council’s trading standards officers aimed at tackling the supply of illegal tobacco in the town. Mr Mohammed, admitted one offence of possessing for supply counterfeit cigarettes and three charges relating to Standardised Packaging of Tobacco Products Regulations 2015, when he appeared before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 14 January.
