Seattle to hold popup COVID-19 vaccine clinics in West Seattle, Fremont and Ballard

Seattle to hold pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics in West Seattle, Fremont and Ballard By Becca Savransky, SeattlePI Seattle officials will host pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics this week in Ballard, Fremont and West Seattle.  The clinics which will be held by the Seattle Fire Department on Thursday and Saturday in business districts in the neighborhoods are an initiative by the city to reach more people and make it easier for Seattle residents to get their vaccines. “Over 73 percent of eligible Seattleites have begun the vaccination process. This is an incredible achievement, and it speaks to our communities’ commitment to protecting the health and safety of our entire city,” Mayor Jenny Durkan said in a statement.

West Seattle Blog… | Topic: Good Samaritan Drives Me to COVID Vaccination

Jake, Alex and their German Shepherd Guardian These are the people who took the time to hear my pleas for someone with jumper cables to help, so I could drive what turned out to be my battery-dead car to an appointment 9 minutes away, with only 20 minutes to spare. After Jake ran 3 blocks to drive his car to Alaska Junction, and had tried two different methods to give my car a jump, we realized it was useless. With polite caution, he said, “I don’t know how you would feel agreeing, but I am will to drive you.” Without hesitation, and a good deal of relief, I eagerly nodded yes, and off we went. I arrived at the vaccination tent on Thistle on the dot of my assigned time. YES!
