baltimore sun and that ultimately the nsa official, his security clearance was revoked, and he finally quit the agency in 2008. but as the government says here, their claim is that this official at nsa, mr. drake, knew a congressional staffer who had a friend who was a reporter. the staffer put the reporter and mr. drake together and ultimately according to the government drake shared classified information. he would scan documents, e-mail them to this reporter, and ultimately even look at the reporter s stories and would review and comment on them and then when he thought that he might be under investigation, he began to shred documents, so he is actually charged with improperly taking classified documents home and then trying to obstruct the investigation and misleading investigators. so he s been arrested. he ll appear in court next week. it s an unusual case for many reasons. the sort of e-mail aspect, the government says he used something called hush mail, which allows you to e-
