Chairman of Yoozoo Games and a Netflix producer, Lin Qi, is dead at the age of 39.
Qi died following days of illness allegedly caused by a poisoned tea.
The Chinese billionaire created Game of Thrones: Winter Is Coming game.
In 2015, his company, Yoozoo Group, acquired the rights to Chinese sci-fi trilogy, The Three Body Problem.
In September, Netflix disclosed that it would adapt the books into an English series collaborating with Game of Thrones creators, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.
According to Shanghai police, a suspect have been detained for the alleged poisoning and local media identified the suspect as Lin’s colleague, Xu Yao.

SHANGHAI: Investigators have detained a man accused of being linked to the fatal poisoning of Lin Qi, CEO of Chinese game developer Yoozoo, the company known for its Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming strategy game.
A 39-year-old man identified by local media as Xu Yao is the main suspect in Lin s death on Christmas day, The Daily Beast reported on Monday (Dec 28).

Xu is reportedly a senior executive at Yoozoo’s film and television division.
Lin Qi, the CEO of Game of Thrones developer Yoozoo, died on Christmas Day, with Shanghai Police investigating his death.
The officials say that the 39 year-old was poisoned and have identified a colleague as the main suspect, which the police have identified by just their surname: Xu.
Yoozoo is best known for the official browser game based on Game of Thrones Winter is Coming but it is also behind a number of major mobile games in China, including the League of Angels series. It was a founded by Qi in 2009. The firm had also moved into the world of TV and film, and Qi is one of the producers of the upcoming Netflix series The Three-Body Problem.

Lin Qi, the chairman and chief executive of games publisher Yoozoo, died in a Shanghai hospital on Christmas Day in what the police characterised as suspected poisoning, the company confirmed.
The 39-year-old billionaire first fell ill on December 16. On Wednesday, Yoozoo, also known as Youzu Interactive, said that the founder’s condition was “stable”. On Friday, the company announced that Lin had died, without giving a specific cause.
According to the National Business Daily newspaper, many employees and ex-employees gathered outside the Yoozoo’s office to mourn Lin’s death.
