Point Edward has hired a new operations manager.
Imran Khalid was selected to fill the vacant position and began work Dec. 7, the village said.

“Imran will manage the day-to-day activities of the operations department and will be responsible for the public works, arena and parks,” said Jim Burns, the village’s top administrator.
“He will be a valuable addition to our management team within the village.”
Khalid, a graduate of Ryerson University and a professional engineer, worked previously with Huron County public works in Goderich.

The Village of Point Edward has a new operations manager.
Imran Khalid started his new job this week managing the day-to-day activities of the operations department and will also oversee public works and arenas and parks.
Khalid, a graduate of Ryerson University with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, recently obtained a certificate in asset management.
He’s been with Huron County Public Works in Goderich for the last three-and-a-half years.
Khalid replaces Paul Churchill who retired in the fall.
