Port Huron Schools students in kindergarten through 12th grade will return to face-to-face learning starting Monday, May 3.
During a special meeting Wednesday afternoon, the district s board of education voted 4-3 to once again change its learning model in response to shifting COVID-19 trends. The decision comes just over a week since the board voted to return to virtual.
Consistency, safety, the impact on students, and the effectiveness of virtual teaching were all points of concern for students, parents, teachers, and school officials.
With only a few weeks left in the school year, some school board members said they were concerned about returning to school only to send students and staff home again to quarantine.
