State police, assisted by a SERT unit, seized approximately 2 pounds of methamphetamine while executing a search warrant at a Union Township residence early Tuesday morning. Scott Moyer, 45, of 12916 Honeysuckle Lane, is charged with five counts each of felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Moyer was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Rufus Brenneman who set bail at $500,000 cash. Moyer, who is being held in the Huntingdon County Jail, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Feb. 10. “The search was executed flawlessly by law enforcement,“ Huntingdon County District Attorney David Smith said, noting officers acted on the warrant at 6 a.m. in the midst of a two-day winter storm.
