Summer is not a time off for a lot of people in our office. Weve been very busy this month, doing our annual performance and goalsetting process for the f. Y. 19, and setting there has been a lot from my experience, a lot of really valuable thought and conversation that has been going into that. Ive very much appreciated the staffs focus. It is a busy time for us, but i think it is a very helpful and important way to make sure were having mindful conversations about our work and how we Work Together to serve the public. Thats something i wanted to provide some in sight insight into that and id be happy to answer any questions. In terms of open positions, i think there are four currently open. Do we have d. H. R. Resources to help us fill those positions . Yes, in this budget year with a memorandum of understanding, and theyre providing us some parttime hours. We were not able to get the full range of contract that we had hoped to with our budget limitations. But we have very strong sup
That is literally decades behind. Were so grateful to leadership, of our mayor and our governor, to help us to bring forward this funding that honestly is going to help us come to technology that most people in their daytoday lives in their personal technology have above what 911 is. This is going to make our calltaking more efficient and honestly its going to save lives, which is really the bottom line and why were here. Thank you so much and ill hand it over to our mayor. Mayor breed thank you so much for being here today. I want to add to what mary ellen said about what we need to do to take our Emergency Response system to the next level. Nowadays its not just about making phone calls. People are Text Messages and delivering messages in a lot of different ways. So it is time that our systems reflect the changes in technology. So ab 911 is just an incredible step forward that will provide us with the resources necessary to improve our system throughout the entire state of california
Conversation, when we were developing the work plan with you for the current fiscal year, was that each bond program would appear before you twice in a year. Once you would have a formal report from the bond Program Managers of the type that was just given on the Public Health bond. In the opposite six month point and the calendar, you would have a liason report, like mr. Lurkin gave, and the advantage would be the forcing function of having the liason have an opportunity to anticipate that item, set up a meeting with bond Program Managers, ask any questions they had, so that the content could be focused on things that are of most of interest to goback. And there was a concern you would get detailed reports and pretty pictures, but not much of a chance to focus on issues that are of concern for you. The liason focus was a test. I should have also reminded the m. T. A. Program manager that having that Program Manager appear during the agenda item would be an expectation so that any ques
In place, at the state level, probably coming forward at a local level to require all businesses. Do we have any kind of idea on the date for ab161 . It is still in the senate. We do not have a date, at this point. Then, lastly, i just want to say that the last Strategic Plan that the department has is from 201314. I have discussed this with the president , and the Vice President , that it needs be updated. I think this is something we could work on during the Commission Meeting without having to have a separate meeting. We will be working with president adams and Vice President dwight to bring that to you. Great, thank you. Quick question, going back to the earlier thing. You mentioned onestop shopping for the new portal. This goes into an idea, i was just wondering, what does that mean like you can apply for all of the permit, just through the portal, or . We were working to work with the departments to get there, but now with the 49 south van ness which is at the corner of van ness
