Dean Moorhouse has announced his application for the open District 9 seat on the County Commission.
Mr. Moorhouse is a retired healthcare executive, a 27-year resident of Ooltewah and resident of Hamilton County for 44 years, Mr. Moorhouse spent most of his career working in healthcare administration and is the former co-owner of Professional Pulmonary Services, which was purchased by Apria Healthcare, Inc.
Mr. Moorhouse has been active throughout District 9 in service to the community and various non-profit boards including Ooltewah Youth Association VP for 12 years, Harrison Ruritan Foundation president, founding member of the D-9 Education Foundation, chairman of the Hamilton County Alcohol Beverage Board, various committees for the Hamilton County Board of Education, Highway 58 VFD Forgotten Child Fund, and various roles as PTA president, Booster Club pres
Hamilton County Schools Partners With PEF To Expand Access To eLabs Tuesday, February 2, 2021 The Public Education Foundation, in partnership with Hamilton County Schools, announced a $1 million investment from an anonymous donor to open 15 new eLabs in HCS and to support the further development of the world-leading eLab network. Officials said, HCS eLabs provide students with rich learning opportunities in engineering, computing and environmental technology through hands-on activities with digital fabrication equipment (including 3D printing, micro-computing and robotics). Now, more than ever, students need opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in science, technology, and innovation. The HCS eLabs provide a state-of-the-art learning environment where students can hone those skills as they develop resiliency and confidence solving real-world problems.
