Sunshine’s versatility pulls through Sunshine Beach State High senior boys AFL players Bayley Crawford, Angus Castle, Tom McNally, Zak Crozier and Dane Larson. Sunshine Beach State High School’s senior boys team arrived at the fields with a number of players from backgrounds of rugby union, rugby league and football. There was only a handful of experienced AFL players among them. The boys showed no shortage of game management and skill on the field when they started their day with a win over Immanuel Lutheran College kicking 4.1.25 to 2.0.12. Sunshine’s Zak Crozier found his feet with a great performance and looked like a player to follow for the rest of the day’s matches.

Wednesday, May 5, 2021 Mary Ann James, 78, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in her home. She was born January 10, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of George and Marjorie (Best) Massey, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her life partner and best friend, Jim Bryant. Surviving are three sons, Jackie James and his wife Melinda of Paola, Kansas, Travis James of Eagle Rock, Missouri, and Jerry James and his wife Dana of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Bob Massey and his wife Jan of Eagle Rock, Missouri; and six grandchildren, Sydney Zurowski and her husband John and Tyler, Savannah, Justin, Sawyer and Hunter James.

Louisa PD chasing leads into robbery

Louisa Police are pursuing several leads in identifying and apprehending the Bowel Bandit. Chief Greg Fugitt said the investigation into the April 27 stick-up at the city’s Walgreens, in which a suspect with no shoes and no shirt walked in and pilfered some medications at knifepoint. According to police, the suspect soiled himself before fleeing the scene. Fugitt confirmed detectives have developed several persons of interest in the case and are coordinating with authorities in Wayne County to investigate. The Bowel Bandit fled in a 2002 purple/blue Nissan Xterra with WV tag 7SL910, according to police. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Louisa PD’s Det. Hunter James or Patrolman Teddy Newsome.
