Walshaw Road MOTORISTS in will Bury face four months of disruption due to a large road resurfacing project. Bury Council have given notice of the potential road closures which will come into effect from Tuesday, February 9. The carriageway resurfacing work will take place on the full length of Alston Street, Mitchell Street and Woodbank Drive and on Stewart Street from Tottington Road to Mitchell Street. Other areas affected by the project are Walshaw Road, from Tottington Road to Fenton Street and Woodhill Road from house numbers 1 to 85. Over the four months period, at various times, vehicles will be prohibited from passing through.
