Hungary will not expel Russian diplomats over Czech explosion, alone in the V4

Hungary will not expel Russian diplomats over Czech explosion, alone in the V4 Subscribe Hungary will not comply with calls by the Czech government to expel Russian diplomats in response to an explosion at a Czech munitions depot blamed on a Russian military intelligence unit, making it the only country in the Visegrád 4 not to do so.  Slovakia, Poland and Czechia, all V4 members, have expelled diplomats from their countries in response to reports that the 2014 explosion which killed two people in Vrbetice, a small village near the Slovak border, was carried out by agents of Russia s GRU. Czechia last week urged its European Union and NATO allies to, in an act of solidarity, expel any Russian intelligence officers from their countries.

Hungary s Third Covid Wave Hits Younger Adults Harder

In the first and second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, we witnessed the threat it poses to the elderly and those with underlying illnesses. However, during the third Covid wave, many reports about younger and often healthy people who required hospital admission or who even died after contracting the virus have surfaced. After the fast-spreading U.K. variant of the coronavirus appeared in Hungary at the end of February, it began to spread at a devastating pace. On top of the British mutation being more contagious, it has also proven to be more dangerous to young and middle-aged people. Unfortunately, the British variant also claims its victims among the young age group, and many of those treated in hospitals are young people, said Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller on Tuesday.
