MATTAWA – Mattawa Public Works Director Juan Ledezma and Gray & Osborne Civil Engineer Jamin Ankney provided an update to the Mattawa City Council on ongoing Well 2 re-equipping design and construction and park improvements at Hund Memorial Park during Thursday’s regular meeting.
MATTAWA – Thursday’s regular Mattawa City Council meeting featured an update from SCJ Alliance regarding the city’s ongoing Parks, Recreation and Open Space plan, which will help the city plan its future parks projects and obtain funding for those projects.
MATTAWA There’s so much going on in Mattawa to celebrate the Christmas season that events are scheduled on two days.
In fact, Christmas events are happening throughout the first half of December throughout the Columbia Basin.
Mattawa’s annual Christmas parade will walk and roll down Government Road at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The Winter Festival will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec 14 at Wahluke High School; it’s sponsored by the city of Mattawa and the Mattawa Community Medical Clinic.
Most holiday events were in Hund Memorial Park for a few years, but in 2022 the festivities were moved to WHS.
MATTAWA Mattawa-area residents can watch a movie Friday night and get information on all things health-related at the same time. The city of Mattawa is sponsoring a combination and movie night and health fair beginning at 4 p.m. Friday at Hund Memorial Park, 101 Government Road. It's the second of three movie nights this summer.
“We decided to do themes this year, (to) be able to provide more for the community,” said Mattawa Mayor Maria Celaya.
EPHRATA – A long summer evening just seems like a good time to be outside. Three local towns will help families make the most of summer evenings with a monthly series of free outdoor movies. In Ephrata there’s also a free summer music series..
