world mourns the loss of billy graham. jesus said there s two roads, the broad road that leads to destruction and judgment and there s another road that leads to heaven. if you remember nothing that i say tonight, except one thing i want you to remember, god loves you. the 99-year-old christian icon and counselor to a number of u.s. presidents passing away in his sleep. graham remembered by supporters for his faith and his impact on the entire world. he took god very seriously but he never, ever took himself too seriously. and i think that gave him a humanness that was very, very relateable. his legacy really is not so much in looking back, but it s looking forward not only for him in eternity but the fact that he has poured his life into so many people, profound gratitude to god that this man showed up on planet earth to point the way to
volumes. his humility, his faithfulness, his devotion. he was a family man. he was keenly devoted to his family, but then his message. laura: i have kind of an odd question, was he funny? i know pat will know this, but that he had a sense of humor? he seems like most of the time so serious and black and white. i love that. was he funny? did he goof around? i think the funniest part about daddy bill is that he didn t realize he was funny. that was the funny thing. i think we spent most of our time laughing at him rather than laughing with him because he was sort of unconsciously humorous, but he had a remarkable sense of humor. and here s one other thing too. he took god very seriously, but he never, ever took himself too seriously. and i think that gave him a humanness that was very, very relatable to all of us. laura: rick, on today s

important concept that we discuss here, that s what we call humanness factor and recognizing the need to bring our people along and pay respect to what they think. neil: everybody. what everybody thinks. everybody, yeah. if we don t do that, we ll have struggles and push back and we re not going to be able to achieve our goals. and so what we see the nfl happening right now is people feeling to some extent or another our humanness, our need for respect and dignity has been violated. and the owner is trying to reinforce that and showing some kind of solidarity to go forward. neil: one of the things that i found, this is a way to appeal to both sides. those who are protesting and angry and those who think that maybe it s time we find a new way, that blue ocean way. which you say the best thing is rewarded to those who go beyond fighting in their own world to finding a new market, new way and new opportunity. yeah. and our book blue ocean shift
