The first doses in the county will be administered to healthcare personnel and long-term care facility residents in early January. Coconino County Health and Human Services will send vaccination eligibility information directly to employers for individual appointment scheduling.
“The FDA’s approval of the COVID-19 vaccine for adults 16 and older is a major milestone toward ending the pandemic, said Kim Musselman, Coconino County Health and Human Services Interim Director. It is important for everyone to continue using all the tools available to us to help stop COVID-19, like covering your mouth and nose with a mask, washing hands often, and staying at least 6 feet away from others. The combination of getting vaccinated and following CDC’s recommendations to protect yourself and others will offer the best protection from COVID-19.”
