Long-Time Signal Mountain Christian School Principal To Retire Wednesday, March 17, 2021
Danette Kelley, the principal of Signal Mountain Christian School, has announced plans to retire after leading the school for the past 14 years. Prior to serving as principal, Mrs. Kelley was a parent of an SMCS student, a volunteer, and then a Board member, along with her husband, Pat.
SMCS Board Chairman David Moss said that this was difficult news for everyone in the SMCS community. “In many ways Danette is the heart and soul of the school. She and her husband Pat have been involved for 22 of the 23 years that SMCS has been in operation. She has touched the lives of hundreds of students and parents, and she has guided us safely through growth and many changes.”
The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court. OLIVER RICHARD BURROW, 41, of Harefield Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen. Community order made. Rehabilitation activity requirement of eight days. Must complete 150 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 36 months. KERRI CHRISTINE GOODCHILD, 25, of Windermere Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to criminal damage. Ordered to pay £327 in compensation. JUNE MARTIN, 31, of Roman Meadow, Downton. Pleaded guilty to drug driving. Disqualified for 12 months and fined £173. Ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. RADU TAMAS, 36, of Lukin Drive, Nursling. Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Disqualified for 18 months and fined £400. Ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
