Staff and students at Abbey Meads Primary School have caught coronavirus. The school in Hugo Drive has made the decision not to close, but has sent three bubbles home to isolate. A Swindon Borough Council spokesperson said: “We can confirm the school has seen a total of seven positive Covid-19 cases among staff and children so, in line with government guidance, three bubbles have been sent home. “Parents have been informed of isolation periods and we will keep them updated with any future decisions. “The school will continue to be open during this time for the remaining bubbles which is in line with guidance and we have a joint risk assessment in place and are working in partnership with the Department of Education and Public Health England.”
