Vaughn is Executive Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. Some of the Rev. John Vaughn s first experiences in the community leadership that has defined his calling come from his youth as a member of the First Baptist Church of Worcester.  Vaughn, 59, became executive pastor of Atlanta s Ebenezer Baptist Church last February, the church where Martin Luther King Jr. served as co-pastor until his assassination in 1968 and where Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock serves as senior pastor. Vaughn said he treats his role as an honor and a serious responsibility.
