Bobby jindal has suggested that your partys front runner mr. Donald trump would be dangerous as president. He said he wouldnt want, quote, such a hot head with his finger on the puNuclear Codes. You as well have raised concerns about mr. Trumps temperament. Youve dismissed him as an entertainer. Would you feel comfortable with Donald Trumps finger on the Nuclear Codes . You know, i think mr. Trump is a wonderful entertainer. Hes been terrific at that business. I also think that one of the benefits of a president ial campaign is the character and capability, judgment and temperament of every single one of us is revealed over time and under pressure, all of us will be revealed over time and under pressure. I look forward to a long race. You didnt answer my question. Would you feel comfortable with Donald Trumps finger on the Nuclear Codes . Its an issue that one of your fellow candidates has raised. Thats not for me to answer. It is for the voters of this country to answer. I have a lot
Just seconds ago we saw Rick Santorum arrive here at the Reagan National library. Todays coverage with the man himself mr. Moderator host of this show and cnns chief washington correspondent, jake tapper. Lets check in with jake tapper. Jake, whats your strategy for tonight . Well, as you and i have spoken about, anderson, our goal is to get the candidates to debate each other. I thought the best moment in the first debate was when rand paul, senator rand paul and governor Chris Christie were passionately disagreeing on nsa mass surveillance. I thought that was just illuminating. They both were very, very passionate. Disagreed very strongly. And were going to try to prompt as much of that as possible encouraging the candidates to step up and explain why their view, why their position, why their policy is superior to the rival one on the stage. We dont want this to be about stump speeches or talking points. We want it to be about an actual debate. And how is it going to work . Youre mod
Its chest and say, we truly are the greatest nation in the world because we live our lives that way, each and every day. That concludes this republican president ial debate. On behalf of everyone here at cnn, we want to thank the candidates, the reagan library, and the Republican National committee. Thank you, also, to hugh hewitt and dana bash. The next president ial debate will be right here on cnn among the Democratic Candidates who will face off for the first time on october 13th. That debate, partnership with facebook, will be moderated by my colleague anderson cooper. And anderson picks up our coverage of tonights debate right now. Before i throw to anderson, one final round of applause for the candidates. [ applause ] can a business have a mind . A subconscious. A knack for predicting the future. Reflexes faster than the speed of thought. Can a business have a spirit . Can a business have a soul . Can a business be. Alive . Where their electricity comes from. They flip the switc
Tonight were going to break down all of the big moments for you and tell you where the republican rivals go from here. And you aring looing live at the streets of baltimore. An uneasy calm after protesters took to the streets in the wake of a hung jury for a Police Officer remember chaed in freddie grays death. I want to begin with two people who asked tough questions last night, thats hugh hewitt and dana bash. At least we are inside where it is warm. True. Hugh, who do you think won this debate in your opinion and has it changed since last night . No. I thought Chris Christie won the debate and the silver went to jeb bush and there was a tie for bronze between marco rubio and ted cruz. I was in the green room with Carly Fiorina. She had a good night. She is the only one to bring up the person i cant talk about on your show. She went after hillary more than anyone else. But Chris Christie did himself the most good last night. Lets continue on with that. You had strong reaction. You we

Good evening again from the university of miami where the final Republican Debate before a very big super tuesday just wrapped up. The candidates, two of whom may have to make some very tough choices next week have faced off 11 times before tonight. Never quite this way. This was a very different debate than weve seen so far. Weve expecting to speak shortly with the two frontrunners in this race, donald trump and ted cruz. Lets go to chris cuomo on the stage. Mr. Trump, were hearing from everybody, including Party Officials that it was a very different debate tonight. Again from officials saying they think it was probably the most substantive, the least sniping, what was your take . I thought it was a very elegant debate. I thought it was very substantive and i thought it was a really i think your folks did a great job. I thought it was very fair and we needed this kind of
