HUBBARD Hoping to have a better chance at securing grants, the Eagle Joint Fire District will join Brookfield and Liberty fire departments to seek available funding for turnout gear and other items for firefighters.
Eagle Joint Fire District Chief Ron Stanish said at the December fire board meeting he has spoken to the fire chiefs in Brookfield and Liberty, who all agree that by joining together they have a better chance of acquiring grants for needed items such as turnout gear.
“We agreed there is a better chance of getting what we need by going together as three departments,” he said.
