PM Minnis tables a suite of new fiscal legislation in the House of Assembly on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021.
Citing its aim to reform public finance management in The Bahamas, the Government tabled a suite of new legislation in the House of Assembly on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021, meant to allow new levels of transparency and accountability.

It is a great pleasure to be with you on the occasion of the official opening of the Monument Road.
Monument Road serves as an access to the popular Columbus Monument landmark, which was erected to commemorate Christopher Columbus’ landing on Long Island.
The new road is a part of the Government’s efforts to promote heritage tourism for Bahamians and tourists.

The old road was a narrow track road in very poor condition making travel difficult and uncomfortable.

PM Minnis expected to be opening speaker at next month’s annual event
NASSAU, BAHAMAS Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Bahamas Business Outlook (BBO) is scheduled to be held January 14 to 15, 2021 as a virtual forum under the theme “Facing Unprecedented Times: Recover, Adjust. Advance”.
Since 1992, BBO has been assembling experts representing key economic sectors, who present their forecasts on the economic challenges and business opportunities of the new year, along with recommendations for action.
Joan Albury, president of TCL Group, founder and chief organizer of the forum, commented on the upcoming new year’s event.
“Seldom before in the life of our country has it been more urgent to discuss the way forward, holistically and unclouded by heavy partisan overtones,” she said.
