Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone has been launched in China as a successor to Huawei Mate X from February 2019. The Mate X2 uses a completely different folding mechanism compared to its predecessor and instead of folding outwards with the main screen exposed, it folds inwards like the Samsung Galaxy Fold models. Huawei Mate X2 is offered in four colour options and two RAM + storage configurations. The phone comes with a quad rear camera setup and a single selfie shooter.

Huawei Mate X2 has officially launched in China as the successor to the Mate X from 2019. The Mate X2 features an 8-inch foldable display when unfolded but when folded, you get a 6.45-inch flagship smartphone that is packed to the brim with the latest hardware. It folds inwards as opposed to the outward folding mechanism we have seen in the previous generation.
The Huawei Mate X2 has launched in China starting at CNY 17,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and CNY 18,999 for the 512GB storage option. This roughly translates to a starting price of Rs 2,00,000 by direct conversion. Having said that, there is no official word on the launch of the Mate X2 outside of China yet.

Huawei has finally announced Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone at a launch event held in China. The smartphone is priced at 17,999 yuan (Rs 2,01,705 approx.) for the 256GB storage version and the 512GB storage version is priced at 18,999 yuan (Rs 2,12,970 approx.) and it will go on sale starting February 25. The phone comes in Black, White, Crystal Blue and Crystal Pink colours.
