With the jury not in the courtroom, Tuesday morning, Judge Kevin Sasinowski asked the defense if Bey would testify in his own defense. Bey's lawyers said no, but Bey himself, appeared to waver on the decision, when questioned before the judge.
The last day of testimony ended with Bey's request to take the stand on his own behalf, but his attorney Carmen Robinson elected not to allow him to testify.
Bey is charged with the fatal shooting of off-duty Pittsburgh police Officer Calvin Hall, who authorities say was trying to break up arguments at a block party near his cousin's home in Homewood in July 2019.
