where you ll be safe and where there s lots of personnel and technology looking at what is going on. neil: but that doesn t stop crowds from going at each other. we ve seen what has happened in the past. how do you control that? well, you know, as i understand it, protesters will be confined to freedom plaza. they re separated by barriers that are put up by the authorities. a real large presence of police to keep them apart. nothing is perfect, but i think one thing about the venue of washington is all of these agencies have handled large demonstrations of all kinds before and preparing for this for a very long time. i think it will be fine. neil: from your mouth, howard. howard safer, the new york city police commissioner watching
