Right now, st. Pete police are pouring through hours of Security Camera video looking for an art thief. Investigators are working to uncover how someone walked into the Chihuly Collection gallery pete. Walked out with a glass sculpture. The director tells Kendra Conlon sometime between morning. The valuable work of art vanished. Gallery director Andy Schlauch the cobalt and lavender piccolo venetian with gilded handles has been a part of the gorgeous glass. 6 Million Dollar Chihuly Collection. Pete for more than 5 until it mysteriously turned out to be the gallerys thousand dollar board beneath it. Police hope this footprint can the crime. Theyre also looking at video from at least 3 different cameras to uncover if someone made off with it while the gallery had been open sunday or somehow got in overnight. Reporter well, good morning. You can see behind me here that we still have the closure in place. Massachusetts avenue closed in all directions just prior to 13th street. So between the circle and 13th. The tunnel beneath Thomas Circle also closed at least for the moment. However just a short time ago, i got an update from police, they started taking down some of the tape in the area. They still have the road blocked, but i was told as soon as the tow truck arrives and they can tow the car involved out of here, that they will reopen everything. So reopen all lanes of massachusetts avenue, the estimate here is hopefully 15 minutes. Actually, im just right now seeing the flat bed tow truck arriving on the scene down there at the circle. So looks like we will reopen here in the next 15 minutes to a half hour. This is a deadly pedestrian accident. The car was apparently going eastbound on massachusetts avenue as it tunnel. The pedestrian was struck just prior to 13th street and killed. The
