Marketing communications agency Bonnie Heneson Communications (BHC) received two silver Aster Awards for health care publications created for Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Howard County General Hospital. The awards recognize the Directory of Physicians, a 100-page publication managed by BHC and distributed annually to Howard County residents, as well as Wellness Matters, a quarterly magazine the agency .
Dr. David Tayman, a longtime Howard County veterinarian and former owner of VCA-Columbia Animal Hospital who conducted the “Ask the Vet” column for The Baltimore Sun’s Howard Magazine, died from complications of Parkinson’s disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease May 28 at Howard County General Hospital. The Columbia resident was 75.

Henry Sangtai Kim, a certified public accountant who was active in the local Asian American community, died of a lung condition May 28 at Howard County General Hospital. He was about to turn 76 and lived in Clarksville.
